The opportunity:
We are currently seeking Behaviour Support Practitioner contractors to join our team on a full time or part time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Positive Behaviour Support contractor, you will:
Conduct client assessments & therapy from paediatric to adult clientele depending on your experience and interests.
Gather information to provide to team leaders and assist in the compilation of Functional Behaviours Assessment Reports as well as interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans.
Report restrictive practices to your team leader and RP team lead who will be reporting to the NDIS commission
Develop strategies to reduce the use of restrictive practices
Be able to work independently and efficiently in the community
Be able to solve both clinical and non-clinical problems in day-to-day work.
Be flexible and comfortable to work in the community
Be confident with clinical reasoning skills across a variety of conditions.
Be involved in liaising with multiple stakeholders regarding patient care.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in the role of a Positive Behaviours Support contractor, you will:
Have a minimum of 6 months experience as a PBS practitioner.
Be able to complete functional behaviour assessment reports and behaviour support plans
AHPRA registration or registration in your suitable discipline.
Be able to understand current systems and processes in an efficient manner.
Demonstrate a passion for continuing to learn and grow in both a clinical and non-clinical perspective.
Be able to think of innovative ideas solve day to day problems.
Demonstrate a willingness to progress your career from a clinical perspective if required.
Strong written communication skills.
Be able to provide clinical supervision to other staff if required and based on experience level.
Be confident in your role while being open to feedback.
