CDP TOWN PLANNING & URBAN DESIGN
New South Wales
Join a well established firm with decades of experience in WA planning, working alongside a client base most planners spend a career trying to reach.
CDP has been shaping Western Australia's biggest projects. That history gives our planners something rare: long-standing relationships with the state's most active developers, local governments and landowners, and a project pipeline that runs from structure plans, precinct-scale master planning to large scale complex development applications.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Town Planner or an experienced Town Planner that is ready to be elevated to a Senior position who is capable of taking real ownership of projects and step into a genuine leadership position.
Why this role stands out
CDP's longevity means our client relationships aren't transactional, they're decades deep. You'll get direct exposure to major landowners, developers and approval agencies from your first weeks, not after years of proving yourself. Reporting to the Associate, you'll take ownership of complex applications across structure plans, scheme amendments, activity centre planning, precinct planning and complex development applications with a clear runway toward Associate level as you build your book of clients and your leadership profile.
What you'll do
Deliver statutory and strategic planning advice on a diverse project mix. Take the lead on client communication and stakeholder liaison with approval agencies and industry partners.
Mentor junior planners while sharpening your own commercial and leadership skills. Get exposure to subdivision design, urban design, concept planning and master planning as your role grows.
What you'll need
Around four or more years' planning experience with tertiary qualifications. Robust statutory knowledge and sound professional judgement. Report writing and communication skills that hold up in front of clients and agencies. A collaborative approach and genuine commercial instinct.
What's on offer
Competitive salary matched to experience. Performance-based bonuses. A real career pathway, not a vague promise, with mentorship from senior planners who are invested in your progression. Flexible working conditions in a firm that backs its people.
