The Environmental Health Officer (EHO) is responsible for undertaking investigations and inspections to assess compliance with the Food Act, Public Health Act and other application legislation and implement appropriate actions to secure compliance where applicable.
The EHO is also responsible for providing accurate environmental health information and advice to staff, the business community, other government organisations and the general public.
About You:

Using your skilled experience and excellent interpersonal skills, you will be responsible for the prevention, education, encouragement and enforcement of environmental health activities in our City.
If you:
Hold a recognised tertiary qualification in Environmental Health that affords eligibility for appointment as an authorised officer pursuant to the South Australian Public Health Act ****
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills with a strong focus on delivering excellence in customer experience
Hold a current C Class Driver's Licence
Have the ability to positively contribute to our culture and organisational values




Hold a certification with Exemplar Global (formally RABQSA) as a Lead Auditor in Food Safety Management Systems as a desirable criterion.
