Digital Technology Lead
Location: Lane Cove West, NSW – onsite with parking and EV charging stations.
Overview
Collins Aerospace (a business of RTX) is leading the aerospace and defense industry by designing and delivering advanced technology solutions.
As a Digital Technology Lead, you will support our Australian operations as part of the APAC regional DT network, reporting to the Regional DT Delivery Manager and collaborating with internal and global teams to build a stable digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation, technical support, and administration of local infrastructure (network, servers, storage), including installing, testing, maintaining, patching, and upgrading servers, databases, applications, and backup solutions.
Manage vendors, contracts, and internal customer relationships to ensure the required service levels for a high‐performing business.
Assist with scoping and implementation of application and infrastructure solutions, ensuring they are supportable and aligned with the RTX/Collins Aerospace Digital strategic roadmap.
Ensure DT infrastructure and applications controls follow DT policies and SOX requirements, and produce and review compliance reports regularly.
Own and manage DT issues and solutions to completion.
Drive continuous improvement of DT systems/services.
Manage the budget and track costs of DT services, hardware, and software.
Collaborate with the Enterprise DT organization to leverage applications and resources for effective support and delivery.
Support local entities' DT projects to meet business requirements and milestones in alignment with RTX/Collins strategic plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, ICT, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
10 years of IT‐related work experience, with at least three years in a lead role.




Experience
Managing and maintaining cloud services and platform.
Managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers, and applications such as SharePoint.
Managing and maintaining Atlassian toolchain (Jira, Bitbucket/Git, Bamboo, Confluence).
Managing multi‐platform software development and build systems (Windows and Linux).
Working with high‐availability and clustered servers.
Maintaining product lifecycle management systems such as Windchill.
Database administration and maintenance (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).

Eligibility & Compliance
Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government/Defence Security Clearance (NV1 standing).
The position requires Australian citizenship and must meet compliance with US ITAR technology mandates.
