The Role
The successful applicant would provide strategic and supportive leadership to strengthen inclusive education and learning support practices across Willetton SHS.
They should lead the implementation of the school's Learning and Curriculum Support model, ensuring students with additional needs are effectively supported through high-quality differentiated teaching, evidence-informed intervention and equitable access to learning.
Working collaboratively with teachers, school leaders and Student Services,



they will ideally build staff capability to implement contemporary inclusive practices aligned with the Willetton SHS Quality Teaching and Learning Framework, the Department of Education WA's Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching for Impact.
Through the analysis of student achievement, engagement and inclusion data, the successful applicant would identify priorities, lead targeted improvement initiatives and ensure learning support programs align with whole-school strategic priorities while responding to the diverse needs of individual students.
The successful applicant should lead and manage a well-established team of specialist teachers and education assistants while coordinating a range of complex learning support programs and interventions.
They ideally would oversee disability resourcing processes, manage complex case coordination and facilitate collaborative partnerships with families, allied health professionals and external agencies to ensure students receive timely and effective support.
Working closely with the Principal and Senior Leadership team, the successful applicant will provide strategic leadership that advances the school's commitment to inclusion, achievement and student wellbeing.
They would oversee the effective implementation of systems used to monitor, track and report on learning support programs, ensuring data integrity and informed decision making across the school.
They should also communicate effectively with families and stakeholders and contribute to the ongoing evaluation and refinement of school-wide inclusion practices.
Through evidence-informed decision making and a commitment to continuous improvement, they would strengthen learning outcomes, increase staff capability and ensure every student is supported to achieve their full potential
