Role DescriptionThis casual Trainer and Assessor role is an in office position based at Malaga WA.
The Trainer and Assessor will deliver accredited and non-accredited driver safety and transport-related training to corporate and individual clients, following RTO standards and DRM training frameworks.
Daily activities include preparing training materials, facilitating classroom and practical sessions, assessing participant competence, and maintaining accurate training and assessment records.
The role also involves providing constructive feedback to learners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.




The Trainer and Assessor will work closely with the broader DRM team to continuously improve course content, support client safety outcomes, and contribute to a positive and professional learning environment.
Qualifications
Training and assessment capabilities, including a current TAE***** (or equivalent Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) and experience delivering competency-based training.
Road transport and logistics knowledge, with practical experience in driving, fleet operations, or transport safety, and a strong understanding of road safety principles.
Heavy vehicle license/s
Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present information clearly, engage diverse learner groups, and provide supportive, unbiased feedback.
Organisational and administrative skills, such as lesson planning, record keeping, and adherence to RTO compliance and reporting requirements.
Ability to work safely and responsibly on-site at Malaga WA, including holding a valid driver's license.
Proficiency with basic digital tools for training delivery and record management (e.g., learning management systems, MS Office).
Experience within a Registered Training Organisation or similar regulated training environment is highly regarded.
Relevant vocational qualifications in transport, logistics, road safety, or a related discipline are beneficial.
