We're looking for an analytical and commercially minded
Supply & Distribution Manager
to take ownership of our inventory planning, forecasting and supply management processes.
This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantities and at the optimal cost. Working closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Quality, you'll use data-driven insights to improve inventory performance, reduce working capital, minimise obsolete stock and support exceptional customer service.

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for managing inventory performance across the business through accurate reporting, demand forecasting, inventory planning and procurement oversight.
You will play a key role in balancing inventory investment with customer demand while ensuring inventory accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain inventory reporting, analysis and performance dashboards.
Analyse inventory trends, identify risks and recommend ordering strategies.
Lead regular stock review meetings and coordinate inventory planning activities.
Work closely with Sales and Operations to forecast demand and ensure product availability.
Manage inventory purchase orders, delivery schedules and supplier commitments.
Oversee stocktakes, inventory adjustments and stock valuation processes.
Monitor inventory accuracy and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory to improve stock turnover and reduce working capital.
Ensure inventory complies with financial reporting requirements, including Net Realisable Value (NRV) assessments.
Build strong relationships across Finance, Operations, Purchasing, Sales and Quality to support business objectives.
About You
You'll be a highly organised and analytical professional who enjoys solving problems and making informed commercial decisions.
You'll ideally bring:
Experience in Supply Chain, Inventory, Procurement or Distribution Management.
Strong inventory planning and forecasting experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and reporting capability.
Strong commercial and financial understanding of inventory management.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify efficiencies and implement change.
Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry or industrial distribution will be highly regarded.
