Racing Queensland is the statutory body responsible for leading and supporting Queensland's Thoroughbred, Greyhound, and Harness racing industries.
With participants and stakeholders located throughout metropolitan, regional and rural Queensland, the racing industry makes a significant contribution to the State's economy and local communities.
Racing Queensland works to ensure the long-term sustainability and success of the industry while delivering exceptional racing and event experiences.
Our mission is simple: to champion great racing and events that connect Queensland communities.
Key duties for this role include:
Manage month end close and preparation of Board reporting
Ad-hoc financial advice and reporting
Responsible for annual financial statement preparation
Preparation of indirect tax submissions to ATO
Ownership over fixed asset accounting, including annual revaluations and conducting stocktakes
Participation in monthly departmental meetings
Provide ongoing support and leave cover for Senior Management Accountant
