We're looking for an experienced
Road Movements Officer
to perform training and assessment on commercial and Defence specific vehicles
Location
RAAF Base Williamtown
RAAF Base Richmond
This role is located on base, and ADF veterans are encouraged to apply as this role has significant interface with RAAF personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth, compliant fleet operations
Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and provide appropriate documentation.
Oversee and manage permit applications and associated requirements.
Lead and support drivers and command operational staff
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR regulations and relevant state transport regulations
Monitor and schedule vehicle maintenance and safety requirements
Provide SME to resolve operational challenges promptly and effectively
Maintain accurate records and operational reporting
About You
Born organiser with an eye for detail (you spot what others miss)
Previous experience in transport supervision or similar role
Experience managing vehicle condition and utilisation to keep fleets running efficiently
A solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, and repair coordination
Excellent communicator – you love talking to people and getting things done
Calm, cool, and collected – even when the pace picks up
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Familiarity with transport management systems and Microsoft Office
Team player with a positive, proactive mindset
Be an Australian citizen and hold a current driver's licence.
