Position Note:
This role will involve regular travel to client sites, predominantly in Southern South Australia, and also to Recent South Wales and Queensland. Travel will include occasional overnight stays (up to 4 nights) at the sites we support. Travel to our clients (both to corporate head offices and mine sites) is an inherent requirement of this role.

As our client base continues to grow in South Australia, we are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team and become our first Adelaide based employee.
While you'll work closely with our broader engineering, project and service delivery teams, you'll also play an important role as a local representative of Atlantic Digital. This position offers the opportunity to combine hands on technical work with client engagement, building trusted relationships while remaining supported by an experienced national team.
The Role
This position involves supporting and managing client IT environments, troubleshooting technical issues and delivering both remote and on-site support across a range of technologies and industries.
You'll work with clients throughout Australia, providing a mix of infrastructure support, desktop support, project delivery and technology improvement initiatives. A significant portion of your time will be focused on supporting our South Australian clients, where you'll become a familiar and trusted contact while working alongside the wider Atlantic Digital team.
The role suits someone who enjoys variety.
On any given day you may be resolving user issues, maintaining critical infrastructure, assisting with project delivery, providing technical guidance to clients or helping implement new technologies and improvements within client environments.
Alongside strong technical capability, we're looking for someone who enjoys working with people. Building positive relationships, understanding client priorities and delivering a great customer experience are just as important as technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain client infrastructure and cloud environments
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across server, cloud, network and desktop platforms
Deliver remote support to clients across Australia
Provide on‐site technical support and services to South Australian clients
Assist with infrastructure projects, technology rollouts and environment improvements
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients
Build positive working relationships with client stakeholders and end users
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, security and operational efficiency
Work collaboratively with service desk, project and leadership teams
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‐technical audiences
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years' experience supporting Microsoft Server platforms and applications in an MSP environment
Certifications preferred but not essential
Current driver's licence, own vehicle (suitably insured)
Willingness to travel regularly,
Strong experience with:
Microsoft Windows Server platforms
Microsoft 365
Active Directory and Group Policy
Exchange Server and SQL Server
Virtualisation platforms (VMware and Hyper‐V)
Networking infrastructure and troubleshooting
Storage platforms and hardware
Corporate antivirus and endpoint security solutions
Backup and disaster recovery technologies
Desktop support and troubleshooting
