The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Purchasing Officer to join our Supply Chain team at our Duketon operation.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent, you will be responsible for the procurement, expediting and logistics of parts, equipment and consumables delivered to site, ensuring the operation receives the materials and services required to maintain safe and efficient production.
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) fromPerth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Managing procurement activities across the operation, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services
Coordinating purchasing,
expediting and logistics activities to ensure operational requirements are met
Maintaining inventory and purchasing data within the Pronto ERP system and supporting continuous system improvements
Ensuring all materials are ordered and received in accordance with specifications and business requirements
Monitoring inventory levels and stock holdings to meet operational demand while minimising excess inventory
Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply outcomes
Reviewing supplier invoices for accuracy and ensuring goods are receipted in a timely manner
Identifying opportunities for cost savings and sourcing competitive suppliers and products
Managing freight and shipping logistics to ensure efficient delivery to site
Assisting with asset management processes relating to the receipt and tracking of property, plant and equipment (PP&E;)
Investigating and resolving supplier, specification and supply-related issues
Managing purchasing requests and supporting measurable procurement performance outcomes
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Qualifications in Supply Management, Procurement, Logistics or a related discipline
Significant purchasing and supply experience within the mining, resources,
engineering or heavy industrial sectors
Experience using Pronto, ERP systems and e-commerce platforms
Strong forecasting, reporting and inventory management capabilities
Well-developed stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across operational and supplier groups
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs
Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
Experience working in a fast-paced and complex operational environment
