About the role
As a
Home Care Worker
, you will travel between clients homes, providing personal care, social support, community access, domestic assistance and household support that helps maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
No formal qualifications are required for this role. We provide support and training for people who are passionate about helping older members of the community remain independent in their own homes.
Qualification required:
Cert III Individual Support, Cert IV Ageing Support, or a Nursing Transcript, demonstrating completion of relevant care units
Part Time position
Italian language skills are highly desirable to support communication and engagement with clients from Italian speaking backgrounds
Guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per fortnight
Availability required across 3 (or more) weekdays per week during day time hours
Travelling between clients homes within Knox City, and surrounding areas
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care, domestic assistance and household support tailored to each clients individual needs
Assist clients with personal care activities, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and getting ready for the day
Provide social support and companionship, helping clients remain connected and engaged in their community
Support clients to access community activities, appointments, shopping, and other social outings
Assist clients with mobility, encouraging independence while ensuring safety and dignity
Perform a range of household duties, including cleaning,



vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, changing bed linen, and general tidying
Support clients to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment that promotes independence and wellbeing
Build positive, respectful, and qualified relationships with clients and their families through regular interactions
Deliver services in a manner that respects each clients cultural, spiritual, and personal preferences
Accurately maintain client records and complete required documentation
Work collaboratively with colleagues and the broader care team to achieve positive outcomes for clients
What we're looking for
We're seeking compassionate and reliable individuals who are passionate about supporting older people to live independently and with dignity in their own homes.
You will bring:
Experience providing personal care and support to older people in a home care, aged care, disability, or community care setting (desirable)
Experience in a home care, aged care, community care, or domestic support/cleaning role (desirable)
A genuine commitment to providing person-centred care and supporting positive client outcomes
An understanding of the importance of delivering high-quality services to clients and their families
The ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a collaborative team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building meaningful client relationships
A commitment to maintaining safe, clean, and comfortable home environments

Mandatory requirements
Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain:
A current Victorian Driver Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Working with Children Check (Employee)
National Police Check
