* Ongoing, full-time role earning $81,496 to $98,955per year, plus super.
What you will do
As team leader records, you will lead the records team at Melbourne Assessment Prison.
You will help deliver accurate, timely and compliant records services that support prison operations.
You will:
* supervise the records team and oversee prisoner records, transfers, classifications, releases and court documentation
* coordinate bail and discharge processes while planning and managing the team's daily workload
* monitor compliance with legislation, policies and procedures through regular audits and reviews
* provide clear advice, prepare reports and work with courts, police, legal services and government agencies
* support other corporate services across the prison while driving continuous improvement.
About you
No formal qualifications are required for this role.
You should have robust computer skills and a good understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
You should also have:
* strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team
* sound judgement and problem-solving skills when managing competing priorities
* clear communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships
* a commitment to accuracy,



compliance and continuous improvement.
