Position Summary
Lab Insights Support and Implementation Specialist responsible for all Roche supplied customer IT solutions including direct instrumentation interfacing across all business areas within Roche Diagnostics Australia. The role focuses on ensuring patient data integrity and managing information security aspects.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain and troubleshoot Roche IT solutions (navify Portfolio) and Roche instrument operating software remotely and on customer sites.
Engage with customers during the sales process and lead projects through planning, implementation, testing and go‐live.
Support the Service team with IT and service‐related issues remotely or at customer sites.
Deliver software upgrades and participate in site system design and implementations.
Provide consultation on connectivity solutions, regulatory compliance, security and virus protection; implement IT products using FHIR, HL7, ASTM integration with HIS/LIS within timeline and cost.
Collaborate with Roche Workflow Consultants, Sales and Marketing to design effective solutions and support implementation.
Translate IT solution features into customer‐oriented benefits for demonstrations, training and implementations.
Provide second‐level IT support to Application Specialists, Field Service Engineers and customers for all Roche instrumentation.
Qualifications
Relevant degree or diploma in Science, Laboratory Science, Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering with emphasis on Information Technology.
At least 3 years of experience in the medical diagnostic industry.
Ability to diagnose application and middleware issues and resolve them promptly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer empathy and interaction skills.
Proven track record in data connectivity, troubleshooting and resolution.
Desired Experience and Skills
Experience with Roche Automated Analytical Systems, across Clinical Chemistry, Immunodiagnostics, Anatomical Pathology, Haematology, and integration systems.
Experience interfacing laboratory and hospital equipment to middleware or LIS systems.
Understanding of business and technology strategies within diagnostics.
Robust knowledge of IT infrastructure: servers, desktops, storage, networks, operating systems, platforms and configurations.
Knowledge of ASTM, HL7, FHIR protocols, TCP/IP, networking and firewalls.
Experience supporting and implementing integrated enterprise software solutions both on‐premises and cloud.
Knowledge of JavaScript and SQL.
Experience in training personnel.
A valid driver's licence is essential.
Location: Sydney – Field based. Only candidates with full eligibility to live and work in Australia are eligible.
