Primary Objectives of the Role:
Provide and/or coordinate clinical leadership in all aspects of the home and community operations.
Work collaboratively with all levels of management, clinicians, carers, clients, families, support staff and other relevant community agencies to facilitate an effective client focused service.
Assume the responsibility for the overall clinical management of clients, assisting and directing the Registered Nurses
Maintain standards of nursing practice consistent with ANMC competencies and the philosophy and values of NVC Group.
Promote and foster a progressive exchange of ideas, values and practices.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
Nursing registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Current Police Check
Demonstrated experience, knowledge and ANMC competencies for Registered Nurses.
Demonstrated clinical problem-solving skills to maximise client care.
Proven Management skills demonstrated team leadership, strong working knowledge of continuous improvement and familiarity with Client Care Services.
Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.




Ability to assist with the coordination of client care with a multidisciplinary team, providing person centred care.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunities, Work Health & Safety and Infection Control Standards and Regulations
Commitment to ethical practice
Commitment to continuing education and professional development
Sound computer skills
First Aid Certificate and Annual CPR certification
Desirable:
Three years' experience in provision of quality aged care in a clinical role.
Awareness of quality improvement, accreditation and government funding
Tertiary qualifications in Gerontology, Dementia Care or Palliative Care or demonstrated competence in these areas.
Current drivers' licence, with no restrictions
Membership in Industry Reference Groups, committees or Associations.
