About the Property
This is a special place. And we're looking for someone special to help lead it. This is a boutique property unlike most. It's peaceful, grounded, and deeply considered in how it runs and how it feels. Guests return multiple times a year because they feel genuinely looked after.
It's a place that's been shaped slowly, carefully, and with real purpose. The experience has been built around care, calm, and creating a sense of ease for both guests and the team who serve them. We're looking for someone who understands that great hospitality is about people first.
Someone with the gravitas to lead, the personality to inspire others, and the emotional intelligence to bring out the best in people. A leader who is approachable, confident, and genuinely enjoys building strong relationships with both guests and their team. This role offers a genuine pathway to General Manager. You'll join as Assistant General Manager, immerse yourself in the business and, as you establish yourself within the team and operation, step into the General Manager position.
About the Role
This is a true leadership role for someone who leads with clarity and warmth. You'll be across the full guest journey from first enquiry to check-out and everything in between. You'll manage daily operations, support a dedicated team across departments, and help make sure the small details that matter so much don't slip through the cracks. The structure is strong and the systems are in place. Your role is to keep things consistent, gently refine where needed, and bring your own sense of calm, practical leadership to the team and guest experience. You'll also play an active role in driving occupancy and supporting the commercial success of the property. Working alongside ownership, you'll contribute ideas around marketing initiatives, promotions,
guest engagement and business development opportunities that encourage repeat business and grow mid‐week trade. You'll understand that exceptional guest experiences and strong business performance go hand in hand.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading daily operations across accommodation, reception, food & beverage and guest services
Walking the property regularly to ensure presentation, standards and guest experience remain exceptional
Guiding a casual and part‐time team with steady, supportive leadership
Being present for key guest touchpoints, including Friday welcome talks and weekend transitions
Monitoring occupancy and developing initiatives to grow mid‐week trade and return bookings
Working alongside marketing support to develop and execute promotions, campaigns and guest engagement initiatives
Identifying opportunities to improve revenue, guest experience and overall business performance
Managing costs and departmental budgets using tools like Wheel and Booking Layer
Supporting onboarding, team rhythm and culture with consistency and care
About You
You've built your career in hospitality because you genuinely enjoy leading people and creating exceptional guest experiences. You have a strong hands‐on operational background in accommodation environments and are equally comfortable managing people, operations and commercial performance. More importantly, you're someone people naturally want to follow.
You bring calm under pressure,
communicate thoughtfully and know how to lead experienced teams with confidence and empathy. You don't avoid difficult conversations, but you know how to have them well. You're naturally tuned into guest needs, team dynamics and the little details that separate good hospitality from exceptional hospitality.
You're commercially minded and enjoy thinking beyond the day‐to‐day operation. Whether it's driving occupancy, creating new guest experiences, supporting marketing initiatives or identifying opportunities to grow revenue, you enjoy contributing ideas that help the business perform at its best. You understand occupancy, costs and budgets, and know how thoughtful marketing, robust guest engagement and exceptional service work together to drive a successful business.
Whether you're currently an Operations Manager, Rooms Division Manager, Assistant General Manager or Hotel Manager, this role is designed for someone ready to step into broader leadership and ultimately progress into a General Manager position. Most importantly, you're looking for more than your next role. You're looking for the prospect to grow into a General Manager position and become the long‐term leader of a business with real purpose. You'll also be willing to adjust your schedule around guest needs and understand how the property operates across the week.
The Offer
