The Organisation
Our client is a growing, industry-led not-for-profit organisation at the forefront of addressing workforce and skills challenges within the Australian manufacturing sector. As a vital industry voice, they build enduring partnerships between industry stakeholders, including employers, unions, and government and the vocational education and training (VET) sector to ensure a skilled workforce for the future.
The Role
As the Manager, Committee & Taskforce Operations, you will lead the governance support and operational delivery for a diverse group of industry committees and taskforces. This role acts as a vital conduit between these industry bodies and the organisation's broader strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Providing high-level advisory and governance support to ensure all committee requirements are met to a high standard.
Managing end-to-end meeting planning, including the production and drafting of high-quality papers and documentation.
Developing and maintaining robust governance protocols, systems, and processes.
Leading and coaching a coordinator to ensure high performance and engagement.
Facilitating effective communication and two-way information flow between stakeholders and internal teams.
Continuously evaluating and improving policies and systems to meet evolving expectations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you are a skilled and credible facilitator with the following attributes:
Experience building productive working relationships with a broad, diverse group of external stakeholders, such as committee, taskforce and/or forum members.
Strong analytical and written skills with the ability to produce high quality and concise board papers.
Advanced communication skills to articulate goals, policies, and processes to diverse audiences.
The ability to influence, negotiate and facilitate discussions, manage differing viewpoints, and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
An understanding of the VET system (or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly).
A customer‐centric approach with a strong track record of delivering outcomes for internal and external parties in a timely manner.
Highly developed problem‐solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a changing environment.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are required.
The Offer
On offer is a salary of $150K (plus super). Hybrid and flexible work options are also available.
