What You Will Do
As developer, you will build, improve and support technology that helps the department deliver essential services.
You will work with people across the department to deliver reliable, practical and easy-to-use technology solutions.
You Will
develop secure applications using approved tools and standards
gather clear business requirements and prepare technical documents, test plans and system specifications
complete thorough testing, fix issues and support application maintenance and minor improvements
assess technical risks, contribute to system design and help improve technology standards
work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver projects, share knowledge and support after-hours releases when required.
About You
A relevant ICT tertiary qualification is desirable. Training or certifications in applications or specialist products are also desirable. An ITIL Foundation qualification would be highly regarded.
You Should Also Have
strong experience developing Java web applications with JBoss, SQL Server and reporting tools
sound skills creating business analysis artefacts, wireframes, process maps and screen mock-ups
proven ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation
effective problem-solving skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
