We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, self‐motivated, experienced accountant to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is client focused and team orientated.
As our new Accountant your focus will be to:
Assist with the completion and submission of company, individual, partnership, trust, and SMSF tax returns
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual BAS/IAS returns, including reviewing work by Junior staff
Preparation of financial statements
Liaise with the ATO as required by clients and senior staff
Provide taxation advice in communications with clients
Assist with the preparation of cashflow forecasts, letters, business plans, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed
Ensure your professional knowledge is at the standard required
Care for our existing clients
The following qualifications & experience are required to be eligible for this role:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Australian public practice
A degree or certificate in Business or Commerce
CA or CPA qualified
To be successful in this position we require the following skills and personal attributes:
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality work with high accuracy
Demonstrated ability to build strong, open and cooperative working relationships through advising clients and team mentoring
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, schedule work targets / activities with minimum supervision to meet agreed targets
Proficiency in IT and computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office
Experience with Xero and other accounting software platforms
Self‐initiative and self‐motivated
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with client centred outcomes
