Responsibilities
As aWork Control/Test Engineer,you will typicallybe responsible for:
Assistingin formulating an integrated test schedule and reviews the preliminary work packageandrecommendadditionaltests or changes to test parameters to meet technical,operationalandsafetyrequirements
Plan andenacttotal Work Control and/or Test Program for ship assigned utilising the Ship's Work Package, Job Orders, Job Summaries, Task groupInstructionsand schedule
Prepare detailed test procedures based on NAVSEA derived specifications
Coordinate and direct all assigned HM&E; and Combat Systems testing and coordinates efforts of shops and ships force
Plan and develop ancillary schedules forhydrostatic,flushand operational testing,Operational Testing, andSea Trials to test the full capability of the ship's systems (non-nuclear)
Eligibility Criteria
The successful applicant mustpossess:
Australian Citizenship
Bachelor of EngineeringOR Suitable experience from a test and activation environment PLUS Cert III Trade qualification in Engineering
1-5years' experience(desirable)




Experience within the defence industry or on submarines (desirable)
An ability to obtain andmaintaina NV1 defence clearance
AdditionalDetails
Duringdeployment, you will receive on the job training combined with instructor led classroom training.Thistraining program and work is carried outin accordance withcompany and US Navy processes and procedures.
At the completion of your deployment, you willreturn to Western Australia (WA)to carry out the planning, management, and in-water maintenance activities on the United States Navy Virginia Class Submarinesat HMAS Stirling.
Repatriation to WA is non-negotiable, so please consider this when applying.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
