Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and drivenSoftware Developerwith strong experience inGo (Golang)and cloud-native development onAmazon Web Services (AWS).
This role will focus on developing, enhancing, and supporting scalable backend services and serverless applications within a modern AWS environment.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience withAWS Lambda,DynamoDB, andGitLab, and will work closely with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that are secure, reliable, and maintainable.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and microservices usingGo (Golang).
Develop and support serverless solutions leveragingAWS Lambdaand related AWS services.
Design and optimise data models and access patterns usingAmazon DynamoDB.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven applications.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines usingGitLab CI/CD.
Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business and technology outcomes.
Perform code reviews and champion software engineering best practices.
Identify and resolve application performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Support production environments, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Solid commercial experience developing software usingGo (Golang).
Hands-on experience working within anAWS cloud environment.
Experience with:
AWS Lambda
DynamoDB
API Gateway
IAM
CloudWatch
S3
Experience building and supportingserverless applications.
Strong understanding of microservices and distributed system architectures.
Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
Experience usingGitLabfor source control,



branching strategies, and CI/CD automation.
Knowledge of software design principles, clean code practices, and testing methodologies.
Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
Database Experience
Strong experience withAmazon DynamoDB.
Understanding of NoSQL database design, performance tuning, and scalability considerations.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience withAuguror similar cloud governance, reporting, or analytics platforms.
Experience planning and executingdata migration projects, including large-scale migrations, data transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such asTerraformor AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging services such as SNS, SQS, EventBridge, or Kafka.
AWS certifications.
Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant AWS certifications are advantageous.
