About the Role
On Track Recruitment Solutions are seeking an experiencedFleet Managerto join a leading rail maintenance operation.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee rollingstock maintenance activities, ensuring fleet availability, reliability and safety while leading a high-performing maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader with a background in rail, transport, heavy industry or other asset-intensive environments who is passionate about driving operational performance, continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
The role is initially based atNowergup, relocating to the newBellevuefacility in early ****.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage rollingstock maintenance operations to maximise fleet availability and reliability.
Oversee planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
Drive compliance with safety, quality and maintenance standards.
Lead, mentor and develop supervisors and maintenance personnel.
Collaborate with engineering, planning and operations teams to optimise fleet performance.




Monitor operational performance, budgets and KPIs.
Build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Promote continuous improvement and a Zero Harm safety culture.
About You
Previous experience as a Fleet Manager, Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role.
Background in rail, transport, heavy industry, manufacturing or other asset-intensive environments.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing operational performance, budgets and KPIs.
Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Trade qualification or engineering background highly regarded.
Understanding of Rail Safety legislation is desirable.
