What you'll be doing
Senior Cloud Engineers lead the design, development, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance of cloud platforms and the associated CICD toolchain that underpin products critical to Monoova clients
Work within a scrum agile methodology, collaborate with team members and stakeholders
Work on leading digital customer experiences and capabilities in finance, payments, and foreign exchange
Constantly evolve commercially viable products based on meaningful data insights and customer feedback

Responsibilities and Key Performance Indicators
Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain our hyperscale cloud platforms, IAC artifacts and associated deployment toolchains that underpin our critical payment product platforms & UIs in a fast-moving and regulated environment
Synthesise requirements that underpin feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches if warranted, and facilitate engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory compliance requirements as well as functional and non-functional goals
Identify, collaborate, recommend, and document solutions to remedy security, performance, and process challenges in existing systems
Self-manage own role responsibilities requiring minimal oversight
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years qualified experience in technology engineering and delivery
Ability to work in a start-up environment with a learning mindset and the ability to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
Innovative thinking with the ability to collaborate and share ideas.
Excellent relationship management skills, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to achieve great results.
Subject Matter Expert experience in cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) with a high level of knowledge of broad infrastructure functions - CI/CD pipelines, automation, site reliability, security, etc
Kubernetes clusters and service meshes (eg. API Gateways, Ingress Controllers, Envoy, Linkerd)
Deep understanding of computer networking and information security requirements for a regulated environment
Logging, SIEM and APM (Application Performance Monitoring) systems
Understanding of Agile SCRUM methodology
Exposure with Atlassian tools, particularly JIRA and Confluence preferred
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and commercially viable solutions
Ability to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
