We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager (Non-IT) to lead and strengthen protective security outcomes across a geographically dispersed organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a security skilled with strong expertise in risk management, compliance, and operational security within a government or highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the organisation's security operations program and a small security team.
Provide expert advice on protective security, risk management, and compliance requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor assurance programs to support ongoing security compliance.
Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and reviews to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Drive security awareness, training, and stakeholder engagement initiatives across the organisation.
Prepare and review security reports, briefings, submissions, and other strategic documentation.




Ensure security operations align with relevant government security frameworks and best practice standards.
About You
Demonstrated experience in protective security operations, risk management, and compliance.
Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage priorities, resources, and team performance.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
Ability to interpret policy, solve complex issues, and deliver outcomes in a fast‐paced environment.
