Responsibilities
As the
Senior Engineer - Power and Earthing Systems
, you will:
Provide expert engineering services to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
Conduct advanced power system studies, including arc flash analysis, protection grading, short circuit analysis, and load flow studies, using DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
Design, analyze, and evaluate earthing systems using CDEGS to ensure safety and reliability.
Perform precise cable sizing calculations using CYMCAP to optimize system performance.
Collaborate with clients, project stakeholders, and cross-disciplinary teams to achieve project success.
Ensure the successful delivery of large-scale projects in the energy, utilities, mining, and renewables sectors.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support knowledge sharing and team development.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, standards, and technologies to drive creative solutions.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Significant experience in power system studies, including arc flash analysis, protection grading, short circuit analysis, and load flow studies.
Demonstrated expertise in earthing system design and cable sizing methodology.




Proficiency with industry-standard software tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, CDEGS, and CYMCAP.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
A successful track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects in the energy, utilities, mining, or renewables sectors.
In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
