We are growing and are looking for experienced
Full Stack Engineers
to join our team in Sydney!
About the Role
The Software Engineers are responsible for the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of Automic's registry platform. As we continue to evolve the platform architecture, including modern cloud-native services and AI-enabled capabilities. This role contributes directly to that evolution!
You will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Operations, and Sales to understand business requirements and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality technical solutions!
Key Responsibilities include:
Operating in strict accordance with Automic's Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring compliance with security, governance, and data protection standards.
Designing and developing scalable, reusable, and maintainable object-oriented systems and components.
Developing robust backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
Building high-quality, modular,



well-documented code across backend, frontend, and integration layers.
Developing and maintaining:
Web applications
Middleware services
RESTful APIs
Third-party system integrations
Assisting with iteration planning, estimation, and progress monitoring within Agile delivery frameworks.
Developing and maintaining automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Providing ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and support for live production systems.
Identifying performance, scalability, resilience, and security improvements across the platform.
Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and development standards.
About you!
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
At least 5 years' commercial experience in object-oriented programming using Java and Spring / Spring Boot within complex enterprise environments.
Commercial experience with Angular / React (or equivalent modern front-end framework).
Proven experience designing, exposing, and consuming RESTful services.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Experience in financial services or financial markets is highly desirable, particularly within regulated environments, which is where we operate
