The Role
Reporting to the Principal Lawyer, you will provide commercially focused legal advice and support on a variety of construction and contract-related matters, including:




Construction contracts and contract administration
Contract reviews and risk assessments
Security of Payment matters
Payment disputes
Suspension and termination of contracts
Adjudication Applications and Responses
Contract drafting and amendments
Legal research and case law analysis
Preparation of legal articles, guidance notes and industry resources
Delivery of member education sessions, workshops and seminars
Review and improvement of standard form construction contracts
This is a diverse role combining legal advisory work, stakeholder engagement, contract review, education, and industry support.
About You
To be successful, you will possess:
Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience
Strong construction law and contracts experience
Knowledge of Queensland construction legislation and Security of Payment processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to provide practical and commercially focused advice
Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
A proactive, organised and client-focused approach
Experience within construction, infrastructure or projects environments will be highly regarded
