As a Claims Manager, you'll provide qualified claims management services across life, disability, and income protection claims.
You'll take a holistic approach to supporting members, working closely with them and key stakeholders to understand their circumstances, assess entitlements, and identify solutions that support recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
You'll join a team committed to delivering outstanding service, clear communication, and fair, evidence-based decisions.
Supported by a comprehensive training program, you'll develop specialist claims capabilities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.
Please note ART Life has fixed term oppoortunies if this is more your thing.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:
Manage a caseload of life, disability, and income protection claims while implementing proactive claims management strategies.
Assess benefit entitlements by reviewing contractual, medical, functional, and occupational information.
Conduct telephone interviews to gather relevant information and understand member support requirements.
Develop outcome-focused case management plans that support member recovery and return-to-work goals.
Collaborate with members, employers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to progress claims and achieve positive outcomes.
Communicate claim decisions and updates clearly through both verbal and written channels.
Prioritise competing workloads to meet service standards and member expectations.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance member outcomes and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
Support a collaborative and positive team culture through knowledge sharing and ongoing development.
Qualifications
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills.
We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them.

You have experience delivering exceptional customer service and managing customer interactions professionally.
Your analytical skills enable you to assess complex information and make well-reasoned decisions.
You'll demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills when dealing with a range of stakeholders.
You're highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
You can navigate sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgement.
Your ability to adapt to changing policies, procedures, and business requirements is well developed.
You'll work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to shared success.
You're experienced in claims management, rehabilitation, community services, insurance, or a related field.
You have knowledge of life and disability insurance claims or a strong desire to build expertise in this area.
Your tertiary qualifications in insurance, finance, health, rehabilitation, or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
