Title:- Senior Officer, Records Management
Length:- 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location:- Ideally Sydney
We are partnering with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Senior Officer, Records Management to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in strengthening records management practices, leading compliance initiatives and driving continuous improvement across the business. The role focuses on implementing records management frameworks, delivering audit outcomes and partnering with stakeholders to improve organisational recordkeeping maturity.
What you'll be doing
Lead the implementation of records management audit recommendations and compliance activities.
Deliver reporting on records management plans, audit outcomes, risks and performance.
Develop, review and improve records management policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
Coordinate records sentencing, disposal programs and legislative compliance activities.
Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to embed best practice recordkeeping.
Support change initiatives to ensure records management requirements are incorporated into projects.
Monitor industry trends, legislation and emerging best practice to continuously improve the records management function.
Track performance metrics and contribute to ongoing maturity and quality improvement initiatives.
About you
You'll be someone who enjoys improving processes, influencing stakeholders and ensuring robust governance practices are embedded across an organisation.
You'll bring:
Demonstrated experience in records management, information governance or information management.
Experience implementing records management frameworks and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
A background delivering audit recommendations and compliance programs.
Experience leading records disposal and information lifecycle initiatives.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
Experience within the public sector or government environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
