Our opportunity
We have an opportunity for a
Development Manager to join the Harbourside team
. You will work within the team to manage and deliver projects including taking responsibility for various aspects of financial and program delivery. Asset class is commercial / office.
Responsibilities
Manage end‐to‐end project feasibility across single‐stage, multi‐stage and joint venture developments, including full financial modelling
Establish, manage and control project budgets and cash flows
Lead commercial negotiations and finalise contractual arrangements
Review and manage development programs and project briefs to drive delivery
Identify, manage and escalate project risks and opportunities to optimise outcomes
Apply value management across all project stages to maximise cost, time and revenue outcomes
Maintain strong market awareness, including competing developments and emerging trends
Navigate planning systems and secure Development Approvals
Identify and communicate the bigger picture, including new business opportunities and project requirements
Prepare high‐quality business correspondence, reports and presentations
Build and maintain strong relationships with authorities and key stakeholders
Chair and run effective meetings, resolving issues and driving alignment
Collaborate closely with internal teams to support successful project outcomes
Articulate project vision clearly and bring stakeholders on the journey
Deliver innovation and sustainability objectives, supported by strong knowledge of ratings tools
Contribute positively to safety, risk and compliance culture, including HSE obligations and incident reporting
Qualifications
3–10 years of experience in the property development industry with solid commercial, financial and legal acumen
Experience across procurement, planning and tendering processes with a solid grasp of regulatory and industry requirements
Ability to contribute to project feasibility and decision‐making
Experience managing and developing teams, guiding others on technical matters and resolving conflict
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with sound judgement and stakeholder management
Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills with a proactive, solutions‐focused mindset
Confidence presenting ideas, navigating ambiguity and complexity, and working with stakeholders at all levels
Relevant tertiary qualifications
