Job Description
As a Claims Consultant within our Group space for our Group Multi fund, you will manage life insurance claims from start to finish, providing a seamless experience for our customers. The Group Multi portfolio is considered one of the most complex due to the age and variability of policy terms. As such, this role requires careful interpretation of legacy policy terms and multiple layers of policy changes to accurately determine member entitlement.
In This Role You Will
A key focus of this role involves providing a best-in‐class customer and client experience, including regular communication in relation to the status of claims and managing expectations,



to deliver on quality health and claim outcomes.
Independently managing a portfolio of TPD and IP claims end-to-end.
Assess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims payments.
Active engagement of external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants as well as in‐house medical and legal specialists and delivering timely outcomes for our customer.
Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with our philosophy, policy and claims procedures.
Participate in case conferences, peer case discussions, and instructing third party service providers.
Qualifications
Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy – IP and/or TPD claims experience is ideal.
Workers Compensation or Return to Work claims management experience with an Allied Health background.
Strong analytical, problem‐solving & time‐management skills.
Excellent communication & empathy to support customers during challenging times.
Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses and treatment.
