What you'll be doing:
As a Risk Specialist, you'll play a key role in partnering with the Group Risk Manager to bring the Virgin Australia Risk Management Framework to life i.e.driving its implementation, ensuring its evolution, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
You'll be great in this role if you have:
A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. business degree, Certified Practicing Risk Manager, etc.)
A proven track record in Enterprise Risk Management in a large corporate environment (minimum of 3 years)
Experience facilitating risk workshops across all levels of management and staff
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Effective time and task management abilities and the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong attention to details
An analytical mindset with a proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
The ability to develop and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and carry out a variety of duties through being flexible and adaptable to the Group's needs
The ability to work autonomously
Sound knowledge of the AS/NZS ISO ***** Risk Management Standard




Working knowledge and demonstrated experience in Enterprise Risk Management, risk analysis, and reporting
Familiarity with risk management software solutions
Understanding of risk appetite concepts and their practical application
Membership of a professional association and/or accreditation (e.g. RMIA) (desirable)
Prior experience or knowledge in the aviation or airline industry (desirable)
Experience in Program and Project Risk Management, operationalisation of Risk Appetite, and assessing risk culture (desirable)
Knowledge of significant legislation impacting the VA Group (desirable)
