Australia's first fully integrated rare earths processing facility. A unique chance to bring a rare earths ore body to operations.
Arafura is building the Nolans rare earths project in the Northern Territory, a billion-dollar greenfield operation and the first of its kind in the country.
We're looking for a Manager Geology to lead geology across exploration, mining operations and resource development, from readiness through commissioning and into operations.
In this role you'll apply all of your technical knowledge and still learn something every day. The understanding of this rare ore body is still being built, and you'll be the one building it.
You'll also see something almost no geologist gets to see: a rare commodity all the way through to commercialisation.
What you'll do
Lead exploration and target generation to extend mine life beyond stage one
Mature the resource and block models and mine planning assumptions ahead of first ore
Stand up grade control, sampling and reconciliation before mining commences
Own resource estimation, JORC reporting and the annual Resource and Reserve statement
What you bring
Eligibility to act as Competent Person under the JORC Code
Curiosity, and the discipline to test assumptions and apply learning on a rare ore body
Understanding of how to build geometallurgical and geochemical knowledge of an asset, and use it to improve the value of the asset as it comes to operation
Deep resource estimation, modelling and grade control experience in operating open pits
The knowledge you build now will shape this operation for decades.
