Job Description
An exciting opportunityexists for some
Full-Time/Part-Time Permanent Clinical Assistants within the Heidelberg/Warringal region.
You will be aiding patients attending for medical imaging procedures, working flexibly from Monday - Friday between 6.00am – *****pm.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment are essential for success in this role.
A background in Allied Health or an interest within is preferable but not essential.
Full training will be provided
Key Accountabilities Include
Perform and assist with patient movement in the Medical Imaging service area, and the hospital when clinically required
Assist with general clinic tasks and other patients of the department in any manner as directed by technical/clerical/medical staff
Ensure Workplace Health and Safety legislation is complied with
Providingexcellent customer service and patient care
Maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
Opportunities to learn to cannulate and/or perform Dexa Scans
What We're Looking For
Basic ability to handle patient care with compassion and tact, ensuring the patients privacy, dignity and confidentiality is maintained
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact amiably and effectively with both the public and colleagues
Ability to function effectively as part of a diagnostic health team
Good time management and organisational skills
Ability to meet relevant VIC Health workplace requirements,
including Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
