Senior Associate
to step up and lead our Criminal Law team in the Brisbane CBD.
This is a rare opportunity offering senior-level casework, team management, and direct succession planning toward a
Practice Leader
role.
The Opportunity
Supported directly by Sydney-based Accredited Specialists (National Practice Director & Practice Leader), you will take ownership of the Queensland practice. You will balance complex litigation with team building and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex criminal law matters from start to finish.
Oversee and mentor a growing team of junior lawyers and support staff.
Drive practice growth, manage team financial targets, and contribute to national executive strategy.
Represent clients across court hearings, trials, and negotiations.
Collaborate with executive leadership on precedent and policy development.
About You
5+ years PAE
in Criminal Law with significant complex matter experience.
Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior solicitors.
Proven court advocacy, drafting, and client relationship skills.
Specialist Accreditation is highly regarded (or a drive to achieve it).
