Business Partner - Health, Safety & Environment - Sunshine Sugar Condong Mill Sunshine Sugar Wyrallah, Current South Wales, Australia
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Partner - HSE to join our Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability team based at Sunshine Sugar's Condong mill.
This is a key site based role supporting our Condong operations, where you will partner closely with leaders and frontline teams to strengthen HSE performance and embed a positive safety culture.
As a trusted advisor, you will coach, influence and support operational teams, ensuring HSE systems, processes and statutory requirements are effectively implemented while driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key responsibilities
Partner with site leaders to implement and embed HSE systems, programs and processes
Support compliance with WHS and environmental legislation and organisational standards
Facilitate incident and injury investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions
Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments to ensure effectiveness of controls
Coach and build capability in frontline leaders and teams
Support delivery of HSE training programs in partnership with Learning & Development
Coordinate and contribute to HSE forums and consultation processes (e.g. HSR meetings)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HSE systems and practices
We are looking for:
Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or related discipline)
Demonstrated experience in a HSE role within manufacturing, industrial or high risk environments
Contractor management, Injury Management,



and Critical Risk Management (highly regarded)
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
Experience with incident investigations and auditing processes
Strong written, communication and leadership skills
Ability to make sound decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgement
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Ability to coach and build capability in operational teams
A proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
