Role DescriptionThis full time on-site Lead/Senior Estimator role is based in Brisbane, QLD.
The Lead/Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and tender submissions ($1-25m project space).
Day-to-day tasks include reviewing plans and specifications, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for quotations, and analyzing project risks and opportunities.
The role involves collaborating with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align estimates with project scope, timelines, and budget expectations.
The Lead/Senior Estimator also contributes to continuous improvement of estimating processes, maintains accurate cost databases,



and supports strategic decisions on bids and project feasibility.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in construction estimating for commercial and residential projects, including quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
Strong skills in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, subcontractor trades, and current market pricing.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities to assess project costs and risks.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline; trade background is highly regarded.
Experience in the Brisbane or broader QLD construction market and familiarity with local building codes and regulations is an advantage.
