Our client is a respected Perth home builder seeking aSenior Draftspersonto join their growing team.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who can confidently manage projects from preliminary design through to construction documentation while collaborating closely with internal teams and external consultants to deliver exceptional homes.
In this role you would be responsible for producing accurate residential construction documentation, ensuring designs comply with relevant building legislation and company standards, and supporting the successful delivery of a wide range of single and double‐storey homes.
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality preliminary, planning, working and prestart drawings using ArchiCAD
Modify base home designs, custom homes and client variations.
Ensure all documentation complies with the NCC, R-Codes, local council requirements and developer guidelines
Coordinate with surveyors, engineers and external drafting contractors to deliver accurate documentation
Manage multiple projects while maintaining excellent quality and meeting deadlines
Maintain drawing registers, version control and design libraries.
Provide technical support to the construction, sales and design teams throughout the building process
Resolve design issues proactively and recommend practical drafting solutions
Assist with workflow improvements and contribute to drafting efficiencies
About You To be successful, you will have:
Demonstrated experience drafting residential homes within the WA building industry
Excellent understanding of WA residential construction methods, NCC and R-Codes
The ability to produce complete working drawing packages with minimal supervision
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
High attention to detail, accuracy and pride in your work
