About the Role
As an Open Space Audit Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality, safety and presentation of Casey's parks, sportsgrounds, playgrounds and open space assets.
You will conduct asset condition and maintenance audits, identify defects, provide valuable insights to operational teams and support the ongoing improvement of Council's asset management systems.
Working across a diverse range of community assets, you will help ensure our open spaces continue to meet community expectations and industry best practice standards.
This role requires availability to work from 7:00am to 4:00pm.
What You'll deliver
Conduct asset condition and contract performance audits across parks, playgrounds, sportsgrounds and open space infrastructure.
Identify, record and report defects and maintenance issues through Council's corporate systems.
Undertake proactive inspections and investigations to support asset quality and safety outcomes.
Assist with the development and maintenance of Council's asset management data and systems.
Respond to customer enquiries and emergency situations while delivering high levels of customer service.
What You'll Bring
Experience, qualifications and/or broad knowledge of open space maintenance, horticulture, park management or related fields.
Demonstrated ability to conduct inspections, audits and detailed reporting.
Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet timeframes.
Proficiency using technology and data systems to record, manage and report information.
Victorian Driver Licence.
Operational Playground Safety Inspector Level 2 qualification highly regarded.
Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
