About the role
Are you looking to build your expertise in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care while making a real difference to patient outcomes?
Western Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist - Grade 2 to join our Emergency Medicine Pharmacy team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, supporting the care of complex and critically unwell patients.
Working alongside experienced medical, nursing and allied health professionals, you will play a key role in medication safety, clinical decision-making and optimisation of patient care.
Deliver clinical pharmacy services within the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
Complete medication reconciliation, medication reviews and clinical interventions for high-priority patients.
Provide expert medicines information and evidence‐based recommendations to multidisciplinary teams.
Monitor and optimise medication therapy to improve patient outcomes and reduce medication‐related harm.
Participate in medication safety, antimicrobial stewardship, quality improvement and research activities.
You are a collaborative and patient‐focused clinical pharmacist who enjoys working in quick‐paced environments and contributing to high‐quality clinical care.
You'll bring
Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent.
Eligibility for general registration with AHPRA.




At least three years' experience as a clinical pharmacist across a broad range of clinical specialties.
Strong clinical reasoning and problem‐solving skills.
Excellent communication and relationship‐building abilities.
Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
A commitment to evidence‐based practice, continuous improvement and professional development.
Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent (desirable).
Clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care or another critical‐care setting (desirable).
Experience contributing to research, education or quality improvement initiatives (desirable).
Experience using Electronic Medical Record systems such as Oracle Cerner (desirable).
