About the Opportunity
Be part of our first line Risk and Compliance function and join theControls Assuranceteam providing specialist expertise and support to enable a major uplift in the maturity of the bank's internal control workplace.
Through our controls testing, we identify areas of control weakness and work directly with the business as a key partner in driving control improvement.
You will play a key role focused on strengthening control environments across our systems, applications, and services across the organisation.

You'll get to:
Perform control testing, challenging the business on design and operational effectiveness of controls.
Evaluate the bank's IT control environment including application controls, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data protection and IT governance frameworks.
Gather, validate, and assess supporting evidence, including sample selection.
Communicate findings to control owners and agree remediation actions and timelines.
Track, document, and verify remediation and closure of findings.
Identify control gaps, weaknesses, and champion opportunities for improvement across control testing methodology and reporting.
This is full time permanent opportunity offering a flexible hybrid working model ideally based at one of our corporate offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo, or Sydney.
What you'll bring to the role
To succeed you will have:
Demonstrated experience in control design, risk assessment and control testing,



with demonstrated expertise and understanding of technology controls within financial services.
Strong technical knowledge of IT frameworks (e COBIT, NIST, ISO *****, SOCI), cybersecurity standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into business recommendations.
The ability to build rapport and communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of stakeholders and partners across the enterprise.
Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Information Systems or related discipline.
Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC or progress towards CA/CPA qualification highly regarded.
