Melbourne

At Clear21, we help get drivers back on the road after an accident, faster, and safer. We make the software that runs the collision repair industry behind the scenes, one of those quiet, essential bits of the economy most people never see. When a car rolls into a body shop, there's a good chance the estimate, the parts order, the insurer assessment, and the job on the shop floor are all running on our platform.
Our platform runs body shops, assessors, and parts dealers across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. The AI we're building is domain-deep, not bolt‐on: our own estimating model, built by collision repair experts for the way body shops actually work, parts intelligence powered by our two‐sided network, and an AI any body shop can talk to like a trusted advisor, with the operating know‐how of the best shops in the trade. No prompt‐engineering skill required. And we're growing the product team to match.
Why this role exists
Product and Engineering run side by side at Clear21. Each stream is led by a paired PM and Engineering Manager (EM), jointly accountable for what their team ships and the outcomes they deliver. We're hiring a Senior PM to own one of those streams. You'll report directly to the CPO, with real room to shape direction, not just execute a backlog.
What you'll own
Outcomes for your stream, jointly with your EM pair
Backlog priority, and ultimate accountability for what your team ships
Discovery and customer research: in front of body shop owners, assessors, parts dealers, and insurers across AU, NZ, and the UK
Strategy and trade‐offs at the stream level, plus contribution to cross‐product seams (our products form one connected workflow, so your stream is never an island)

Mentoring other PMs and APMs around you (formal line management of an APM is possible)
You'll be a fit if
You're insatiably curious. Parts catalogues, insurer SLAs, the body shop floor itself, you find the boring bits engaging, because that's where the product lives.
You'd rather be with customers in a body shop than a meeting room. Customer conversations energise you. You take every excuse to be in front of the people using what you ship.
AI is already in your daily workflow. You're not waiting for a memo. You build tools for yourself, write your own scaffolding, and treat AI as a multiplier on your own work, not just the product you're shipping.
You write code, even if you'd never call yourself an engineer. You'd run Claude Code over Cowork. You've got a personal GitHub with commits in it. Prototyping a feature, scripting a research workflow, querying the database yourself, you don't outsource what AI can help you do.
You think in customer outcomes and value chains, not in features and burn‐down.
You believe in progress over perfection. You'd rather ship something lean, learn and iterate, than spend a quarter polishing a thing nobody has touched yet.
You've spent 5+ years in product, including time at the senior level on B2B SaaS with real customer‐facing complexity.
Big Bonus: prior exposure to automotive, insurance, or parts.
The role
Travel across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally as required
3 days a week in our Mulgrave office, around the corner from several of Melbourne's automotive head offices.
A real seat at the table on strategy, AI direction, and how we run product at Clear21
WFH equipment and setup allowance
Dedicated car space at our head office
End of trip facilities (if your preferred mode of transport is by bike)
