Overview
Join us at Bunnings in either the Joondalup or Mindarie warehouse locations to work as a Department Manager. You will oversee daily operations, sales, and high‐volume stock management within your specialist area, supporting the overall store performance and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of 20+ members, maintaining a safe, engaged, and high‐performing environment.
Perform duty manager duties, including opening and closing responsibilities on weekdays and weekends.
Develop team capability in customer service, safety culture, and performance management.
Rostering and strategic planning to meet the service promise.
Drive department sales through strong merchandising, monitoring key metrics, and ensuring best pricing and range.
Own stock accuracy: adjustments, replenishment discipline, and loss prevention.
Monitor and measure customer service levels, liaising with Merchandising, Store Leadership, and Health & Safety.
Build and maintain supplier relationships to support product availability.
Handle a minimum of one in three weekends and public holiday work.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong leadership and influencing skills with a focus on safety and wellbeing.
Previous experience leading teams in retail or large, high‐volume customer‐focused environments.
Demonstrated ability to open and close a store, supporting smooth operations.
Experience in developing clear expectations, performance conversations, and recognition.
Knowledge of merchandising excellence, sales performance, stock accuracy, and loss prevention.
Comfortable wearing many hats, managing multiple stakeholders, and understanding KPIs while exceeding customer expectations.
