The Director Workforce Capability and Enablement will provide leadership and expert advice to the People and Culture team and the Executive and Senior leadership teams on strategic matters that will optimise CHQs workforce e.g. workforce analytics and reporting, culture uplift, systems and workforce planning, leadership capability, health equity and diversity and inclusion. Lead the delivery of agreed People and Culture projects and initiatives and lead organisational culture and leadership development programs that will foster a sense of connectivity and wellbeing across the entire workforce (clinical and non-clinical).

The People and Culture portfolio incorporates functions across human resources, recruitment, health safety and wellbeing, culture and leadership, performance and system capability, and legal services.
About The Role
In this role you will utilise CHQ's resources to maximise the positive impact we have for children, young people and families (Leader of Function) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values . Your contribution will include:
Develop the organisations maturity in utilising and managing their workforce by leveraging CHQ's workforce strategies, analytics and solutions.
Undertake regular analysis and best practice research to continually optimise CHQ's workforce.
Design and develop programs and / or projects that assist with effective management of the CHQ workforce by:
partnering with corporate teams within CHQ
navigating CHQ's governance framework to gain buy in
documenting and presenting concepts and potential workforce solutions to CHQ's senior leaders that articulate workforce optimisation and perks realisation.
Lead CHQ's strategic workforce planning framework, including the advancement of strategic workforce and plans as required.




Provide strategic leadership to the culture and leadership team in support of workforce programs such as workforce recognition, engagement and reward, performance management, leadership development and wellbeing.
Establish and maintain formal partnerships with the vendors of existing Workforce Solutions, to ensure they are running smoothly and continue to meet the requirements of CHQ.
