About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintainer to join the Maintenance team at the Kwinana Pigment Plant, approximately 35‐minute drive south of Perth, on a permanent full‐time basis.
Mechanical Maintainers play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical plant and equipment across our Pigment Plant. The position involves preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maintain optimal plant performance and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on a wide range of plant equipment.
Carry out removal, installation, maintenance, and overhaul of rotating equipment, pumps, piping systems, compressors, heat exchangers, steam equipment, and pressure vessels.
Identify and report equipment defects, recommending improvements to existing systems,



methods, and procedures.
Adopt a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and complete breakdown repairs to high workmanship standards.
Accurately complete all maintenance documentation for reliable data in Tronox's Maintenance Systems.
Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident reporting to foster a strong safety culture.
Communicate effectively and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Assist plant operators as needed, including preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance.
Record process information and identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance and plant efficiency.
About You
Mechanical Trade Certificate – Fitting (essential).
Understanding of maintenance and production priorities and requirements.
Experience in fault finding and repairs to hydraulic systems.
Strong decision‐making skills and ability to work independently when required.
Team‐oriented with a flexible approach, willing to work additional hours when necessary.
Strong commitment to safety practices.
Clear demonstration of conforming to Tronox Values.
Current unrestricted driver's licence.
Willingness to work shift rosters as required.
