The role
You'll design and build backend services that genuinely matter to the business — not just maintain what's there, but help shape how it evolves. Day to day that looks like:
Designing, building and evolving scalable backend services and platforms
Writing software that's built to last — maintainable, reliable, and performant
Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices




Working through technical design problems alongside more senior engineers (great exposure if you're looking to grow)
Helping the wider team spot and manage technical debt and system risk
What you'll bring
3+ years experience with Java and Spring Boot
A solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architecture
Experience with messaging/streaming tools like Kafka or similar
Working knowledge of AWS
Some exposure to CI/CD and tooling such as Docker, Jenkins or Ansible
