Overview
The Coffs Harbour Cardiology Department employs 5 cardiologists participating in a one in five on-call roster. We have 3 interventional cardiologists, including one cardiac devices specialist, as well as one imaging cardiologist, now accredited as a level B CTCA reporter. Our cath lab is open 5 days a week, and we have a cardiac devices list fortnightly. We run a transoesophageal echo list at least 4 days weekly and our 10 bed CCU is staffed by two registrars and two JMOS. Trainees are exposed to a range of often complex acute cardiac presentations and take a leadership role in assessment and management. Our unaccredited trainee will also be actively involved in teaching and governance activities, and multiple research opportunities exist for those motivated.
What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the position is to provide safe, appropriate, patient‐focused, outcome‐directed, coordinated quality care that meets professional standards and is based on best practice standards within the coronary care unit, coronary angio unit and other relevant services under supervision while developing advanced expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment.
