Broome Residential College are seeking to establish a pool of Boarding Supervisors – Night Shift for permanent and fixed term, full time and part-time vacancies which may arise during **** and up to the end of July, ****. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Broome Residential College caters to students attending Broome Senior High School and St Mary's College. The sustainable, state-of-the-art facility is on the corner of Kerr and Matsumoto streets. It was designed in collaboration with local Traditional Owners and blends in with the natural environment.
The college maintains close ties with the friendly and welcoming community through our local input networking and communications (LINC) committee. The committee includes representatives from the community. It provides advice and support to the college manager and staff.
The Role
The suitable applicants will support and reinforce appropriate values and behaviours of students, and supervise students, fulfilling duty of care requirements in line with Department policy. They will respect and embrace diversity within the student population, and provide and supervise opportunities which support the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of students.
The Boarding Supervisor will promptly report concerns with student and staff wellbeing, duty of care, occupational safety and health and maintenance matters to senior staff. This role will require the suitable applicants to uphold the Public Sector Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct and work in accordance with Department requirements.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
Obtain or hold (and maintain) a current Working with Children Check;
Work according to rostered hours which may include nights, weekends and public holidays;
Obtain (prior to first rostered shift working with students) and maintain a current:
First Aid Certificate – Provide CPR (HLTAID009); and
First Aid Certificate – Provide First Aid (HLTAID****);
Within six months of commencement of employment obtain and maintain a current:
LR Class Driver's Licence and a Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation;
Aquatic Rescue for Group III Pool Award*; and
Surf Rescue Certificate*;
Obtain a current Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (CHC*****) within six months of commencement of employment.
Dependent on operational requirements as determined by College Manager
