About the Role
As Financial Controller at Cover Genius, you will be working among a rapidly expanding global finance team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Finance Operations, you will lead month‐end close and other accounting workstreams. The role has one direct report and suits someone new to team management or managing a small team. You will manage the full‐cycle of partner outgoings, ensuring data integrity, fostering strong external and internal relationships, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Global balance sheet ownership: intercompany, OPEX accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intangible assets including goodwill, retained earnings, investments and short & long term deposits.
Month‐end close ownership: consolidations, FX analysis, flux analysis coordination, reporting to treasury and FP&A; teams, explanation of P&L; and balance sheet movements, and other ad‐hoc items as required.
Skills & Experience
What you will bring:
Fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or lead role.
Experience working with NetSuite; strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
Strong knowledge of general accounting practices (both IFRS and US GAAP a benefit) and financial controls.
Proven track record of process improvement and improving days to close.




Excellent customer‐service and communication skills with an ability to manage external and internal relationships effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‐paced environment.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
