What is ourClinical Midwife -MidwiferyAntenatal/Postnatal Service(MAPS)role?
TheClinical Midwife - Midwifery Antenatal/Postnatal Service (MAPS)is based within the Women and Newborn Services atOsbornePark Hospital (OPH). The role provides coordinated antenatal andpostnatal midwifery care through a continuity model, supportingwomen and their families from pregnancy through to the postnatalperiod.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, theClinical Midwife provides comprehensive assessment, careplanning, education and care coordination, promoting informeddecision-making and facilitating timely referral to specialistservices when required. The role collaborates closely withmultidisciplinary teams across OPH and the Women and NewbornHealth Service (WNHS), including King Edward Memorial Hospital(KEMH), to ensure women receive seamless care throughout theirpregnancy journey.
Clinical Midwives practise in accordance withtheNMBA Registered Midwife Standards for Practice,delivering safe, evidence-based and woman-centred care whilecontributing to clinical leadership, quality improvement,mentorship and service development.
Youwill be an enthusiastic and innovative clinician whose actions,interactions and partnerships contribute to excellence inpatient care. During the selection process you will be assessedon your ability to fulfil the responsibilities of this positionwhile demonstrating the NMHS values ofCare, Respect,Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity.

TheWomen and Newborn Services at OPH provide maternity andgynaecology care for women with low to moderate risk pregnanciesin a welcoming suburban hospital. Women receive high-quality,evidence-based care through a range of contemporary models ofcare, supported by multidisciplinary teams and seamless accessto specialist and tertiary services across WNHS whenrequired.
